The Consequences of Preference
By the writer and thinker Dr. Djadouni Hakima NinarEskila
From the novel: "Iblis the Messenger, Prophet of Darkness."
"Of course, jealousy will take care of the rest."
The fog of refusal darkened the eyes of those watching the spectacle.
They pretended to accept what they never truly accepted.
The reason?
The divine preference granted to certain famous ones, confirmed by “Iblis,” who, through his deceptive praise, confused their minds, sowed discord among them, and opened their eyes to privileges perhaps invented only to disturb their mission on Earth.
"Depression is a psychological trap that feeds on the despair of hearts, on their weakness before the power of sorrow."
He can no longer be guided.
No matter how one shows him the right path, he won’t respond, won’t see, won’t care.
He no longer care at all.
Things have lost their taste; time no longer exists in his silence.
He only seeks stillness, the stillness he mistook for an ending.
He needs not to be fine anymore.
Tired of pretending to be fine when he never was.
He was wounded on the bed of life, an empty trunk waiting for the storm that never came.
His thoughts attack him, defending themselves against his own mind and actions.
The same thoughts built by the watchers within his brain became his companions, inseparable now.
He is neither guilty nor in conflict, merely drained.
The accusations no longer matter.
And if he must lose something today, it shall be himself, until all things lose him in return.
Among the jinn, tension and restlessness prevail, depression, discouragement, provocation.
Depression is the capitalism of failure.
He who drives another into depression has succeeded in making him wander forever.
So what now?
Their societies, drowning in material judgment, live in an age of appearances.
The only solution to avoid further breakdowns is separation, scattering across places,
each relying on individual fame, gathering admirers, followers, worshippers,
all lacking faith in their own self-sufficiency, unaware that their spirit alone is enough.
Paths have shattered, opinions scattered.
Greed for fame and leadership dominates.
Iblis carved their loss upon the walls of memory.
The jinn were once one serene nation, guided by a single silver saint.
Then they multiplied, each tribe worshiping its own guide,
divided by the whisper of Iblis.
He taught them what evil is.
And evil began to wander among them,
staining their manners, striking their chords with violent rhythm.
They bled, and bandaged their wounds with pride.
But pride… is the fuel of pain.
